The mobile and flexible Exflooder flood barrier, 5 meters long and 46 cm in diameter, is an effective alternative to traditional sandbags. It was designed on the basis of conclusions from the course of flood protection activities with units of the Volunteer Fire Department and the State Fire Service from several regions of Poland, as well as tests performed with selected units. It has a single-chamber structure, a self-supporting tank which, when filled with water, takes the shape of a flattened cylinder.
The barrier is made of multi-layer technical fabric with a weight of 900 g/m² and specially selected properties. The material ensures tightness when exposed to weather conditions and UV radiation, as well as increased resistance to mold and fungi during storage. In the structure of the dam itself, elements have been added to facilitate its filling, emptying, anchoring and connection. The volume of an empty, assembled dam is only a few percent of its capacity. Thanks to this, the barrier can be folded and moved many times.
