Fire protection flexible tanks

testuje se additional info
Exflo flexible tanks can serve as fire water tanks, meeting the requirements of the standard: PN-B-02857: 2017-04 Fire protection of buildings, Fire water tanks, General requirements. Compliance with the applicable standards is ensured by Exflo’s cooperation with authorities in the field of fire protection, including the Main School of Fire Service in Warsaw. On July 31, 2019, SGSP prepared the “Guidelines for the use of mobile water tanks produced by EXFLO sp. z o.o. as fire tanks”.

Exflo fire tanks do not require complicated construction and preparation works. The system of electric mats offered by Exflo protects the water in the tank and the system against freezing, even in severe winter conditions. Exflo bladder tanks, used as water fire tanks can be a valuable support also in the seasons of drought and increased fire risk. After use, they can be folded and prepared for storage in less than an hour. Their mobility feature is also useful during the renovation of a stationary tank, during which Exflo tanks can become a temporary water buffer.

Advantages – Fire water tanks

Frequently asked questions

We have gathered the answers to our customers’ most frequently asked questions in one place. We hope this helps you quickly find the information you need and clarifies any doubts you may have.

1. Do flexible fire protection tanks hold certificates?
Yes, the tank holds a CNBOP certificate of admission (No. 4983/2023), which guarantees safety and allows the product to be officially used by Fire Department services.

2. How durable is the material?
The tank is made of a special 1300g/m² PVC-coated technical fabric. This allows the tank to be exposed to weather conditions for at least a dozen or so years and provides high resistance to mechanical damage. Detailed technical specifications of the fabric are included in the product data sheet.

3. Can fire protection tanks be damaged by animals or pests?
We have never experienced such cases. According to the fabric’s parameters, its outer shell can easily withstand contact with animals (such as deer, roe deer, or cattle). Generally, animals tend to avoid the tanks entirely.

4. How should the ground be prepared for a fire protection tank?
The site for the tank must be leveled and free of any sharp objects. We recommend using a sand bedding layer to ensure better cushioning and heat propagation. Specific foundation requirements are outlined in the product data sheet.

5. Will the water inside the tank freeze?
Thanks to the use of specialized heating mats, the tank can be used year-round, including during the winter season.

6. How long does the installation of a flexible water tank take, and is it complicated?
The assembly process is relatively simple and can be completed by a few people within 2 to 3 hours.

7. What does the connection process for the heating mats look like?
The heating mats must be connected by a certified electrician with the appropriate qualifications.

8. Are flexible fire protection tanks resistant to extreme weather conditions, such as low temperatures, strong winds, or rain?
Yes, this has been confirmed by laboratory tests conducted by CNBOP-PIB (specifically regarding temperature resistance). The tank and its cover are made from high-quality European components, allowing us to offer a 10-year warranty under continuous exposure to the weather conditions typical for this part of Europe.

9. What does the process of emptying the water from the tank look like?
The tank can be inflated with air for drying or cleaning purposes. Residual water and debris can be extracted from the tank by inserting a suction pipe directly into the flange opening (without a suction strainer). More information can be found in the product data sheet.

10. How much water remains in the tank after it is emptied?
After emptying, a small amount of water remains inside—ranging from a dozen to several dozen liters, depending on the overall size of the tank.

11. What are the options for transporting and storing a flexible water tank?
When folded, the tank fits entirely on a pallet (either a Euro pallet or an industrial pallet, depending on the tank’s size). Once emptied of water, it can be easily transported and reinstalled at any alternative location.

12. How much electricity does the tank heating consume?
During the spring and autumn seasons (May to October), the system does not need to be turned on. In “standby” mode, it consumes approximately 22–36 kWh per month. In active heating mode, the power consumption varies depending on the ambient outdoor temperature.

Modern Fire Protection Tanks in the Service of Safety

Modern Exflo fire protection tanks are a key component of safety systems, providing a reliable water source in the event of a fire. The manufacturer utilizes high-frequency (HF) welding technology, which guarantees the exceptional durability of the products. Custom dimensions of these fire protection tanks allow for an optimal fit tailored to the specific needs of both industrial and private facilities.

Fire Protection Tanks Utilizing Advanced Solutions

Exflo designs above-ground fire protection tanks that are both highly functional and aesthetically pleasing. Modern materials ensure robust resistance to severe weather conditions and mechanical damage. These fire protection tanks combine reliability with efficiency, significantly raising fire safety standards.

Comprehensive Systems for Extinguishing Water Storage and Distribution

From underground steel structures to flexible systems, these fire protection tanks meet the highest quality and safety standards. A fire protection tank integrated with a pumping station guarantees the required water level and reserve for fire suppression installations.

Functioning as dedicated water reserves, these tanks enable independent water supply completely detached from the municipal water grid. Regular maintenance and service ensure the constant availability of fire protection water for warehouse facilities and external firefighting operations. Ultimately, these water tanks support firefighting equipment, providing vital fire protection for critical infrastructure.
