The Exflo “Farmer type S” model consists of specialized products based on materials dedicated to the agricultural and biogas sectors. A special technical fabric is intended only for contact with natural fertilizers and digestate. This ensures safe and tight storage, which also effectively reduces gas and odor emissions.
The “Farmer type S” tank ensures the storage of natural fertilizers in accordance with the requirements of the Council Directive 91/676 / EEC of December 12, 1991 (the so-called “Nitrate Directive”) and Polish regulations in force from July 26, 2018 under the nitrate program. The Exflo Farmer tank also allows Farms to create a quick, additional buffer both on their premises and in the vicinity of the target slurry discharge. Flexible pillow tanks do not have mixers, and the slurry fractionation process can be reversed by means of, among others: creating a closed pump-tank system.

1. How durable is the post-fermentation tank?
The tanks are highly durable, as they are made from a special technical fabric weighing 1300 g/m². The material withstands a pressure of approximately 200 kg per 3 mm. The coating composition ensures resistance to stored fertilizers on the inside and to weather conditions and UV radiation on the outside. Thanks to this fabric and other high-quality components sourced from the EU, we provide a 10-year warranty on the tanks.
2. How to prepare the ground for the post-fermentation tank?
The area for the tank should have a stable, preferably level base free of sharp elements that could damage the tank’s outer layer. Since the tank is not anchored to the ground, it should not have a slope greater than 1% in any one direction. We recommend leveling minor unevenness by adding a sand or sand-gravel bedding (with fine granulation) at least 5 cm thick. The best tank emptying results are achieved by slightly shaping the compacted bedding with a maximum 0.5% slope toward the center and simultaneously sloping toward the connections (“indented envelope” shape). The width of the central path towards the connections should be 1.5 m (we provide a detailed drawing with instructions directly to the future user).
3. How to mix slurry?
Slurry can be mixed in several ways, including:
- connecting pumps to two opposite connections to create a closed loop,
- using the AMU Slurry Activator, which, through natural bacteria, breaks down solid fractions, making the slurry uniform, liquid, and easy to extract with a pump (see article).
4. Is the post-fermentation tank frost-resistant?
Yes. The tank is resistant to temperatures as low as -30°C. In case of contact with animals, the material withstands a pressure of approximately 200 kg per 3 mm.
5. Is the post-fermentation tank at risk of animal attacks?
No. Animals avoid the tank and are not interested in it.
6. How is the tank emptied?
The tank is emptied by gravity. When preparing the ground for the tank, we recommend creating a minimal slope so that residual slurry can be easily collected.
7. Is a permit required?
No permit is required, only a possible notification. The tanks are not permanently fixed to the ground and can be periodically disassembled.
Construction of the Post-Fermentation Tank:
- The tank is made from a multi-layer technical fabric with a polyester base weighing 1300 g/m², coated with PVC and lacquer. This construction provides additional protection against external factors, as well as ensuring the tank’s proper sealing and durability.
- The fabric also helps to limit the release of unpleasant odors from the stored substance.
- Equipped with two 5-inch (2pcs.) lever-operated gate valve connections located on opposite sides, the tank allows for filling and emptying from both ends.
- Two air vents allow for proper ventilation of the tank during filling and use.
- Reinforced corners ensure the tank’s sealing and necessary strength in critical areas.

The tank has high weather and tensile resistance thanks to the use of advanced and robust lacquered and PVC-coated technical fabric. It can be folded and moved many times without losing its properties. Contrary to popular fears, polymer fabrics are not ‘thin films’. They are specially designed and the internal reinforcement can withstand heavy loads.
Caution should also be exercised with sharp objects, as used with sufficient force they can damage the surface and the core of the fabric.
The specific weight of the fabric is 1300 g/m² and the tensile strength is 4300 N/5 cm. Moreover, the material can withstand temperatures from -30°C to +70°C making it resistant to changing weather conditions. The tank is guaranteed for 10 years and has a technical lifetime of up to several decades, depending on use and insolation.
